Happy Spring! Just a couple things we want you to know about.... First off, our friend, Lourdes from Fiore di Nonno Handmade Mozzarella is busily making her delicious cheese for the summer season! She hand makes the cheeses and delivers them fresh every Thursday: fresh mozzarella, mascarpone burrata and fig burrata. They are all wonderful and locally made, why eat commercially made cheese if you don't have to ??!!

We are now working with New Amsterdam Project, a human powered delivery service. They have great bikes with big trailers, and are fast, friendly, local and green! You can now have Dave's catering delivered by bicycle! Check out their great website newamsterdamproject.com for delivery areas, and more about their business.

And in keeping with the local theme, Dave's Fresh Pasta is a proud member of Somerville Local First, a network of locally owned & independent businesses with the goal of supporting a vibrant local economy and a sustainable community here in Somerville. The City of Somerville has agreed with us that is it a great idea to have our "SUMMER SATURDAYS SIDEWALK BB-Q"!! Beginning in June on Saturdays from 12-4 we will be grilling right in front of the shop! Smoked pork ribs & coleslaw, Pearl 1/4lb dogs, handmade chicken sausages from Nappi Meats in Medford and beef or chicken shish-ka-bob with our tzatziki sauce will be on the menu, along with all the fixins'! Don't worry if you forget, just follow your nose down Holland Street!

This dry rose is made from Grenache and Mourvedre. It's medium-bodied with aromas of lovely ripe raspberries, wild strawberries, watermelon and spice. An extremely well balanced wine with clean, bright acidity. A great summer sipper or pair with charcuterie, salads, or barbeque.

I have been anxiously awaiting the 2007 vintage and it has finally arrived. It is clean and bright with tons of citrus, apple, pear and minerality. Has great acidity and finishes with a wave of lemon zest.
This is a great summer wine to enjoy on the back deck.

Rarely do you find a wine at this price point made from 60+ year-old vines. Incredibly concentrated with waves of black and red fruit. I bought the last 15 cases of the vintage and I've only got 5 left! Make sure you try this one before it's all gone.

If you loved his syrah you will love this one too. The wine is all stainless steel fermented with bright, black cherries and strawberries. An extremely elegant wine for the price. It pairs well with meat dishes and sauces.

An easy drinking Sangiovese from Abruzzo. Aromas and flavors of strawberry and sour cherry.
It is light-bodied with balancing acidity and soft tannins. This is a great wine to drink on it's own or pair with salami, white meats and medium aged cheeses.
